Exams & Testing

The Medication Aide 40 Hour Examination is a State approved exam.  Results of the Medication Aide examination will be reported to the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services, Nursing and Nursing Support, Medication Aide Registry.

 

This examination involves a written test for individuals who wish to become active as a Medication Aide on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry.  The registration fee includes admission to one Medication Aide examination.  Pencils, test booklets and answer sheets will be provided.

 

***Please note: Bring an original photo ID or Driver's License for identification.  No copies will be accepted.  Once the test has begun no one will be admitted, so please be sure to be on time.***

 Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may be arranged for a future testing date/time with PHCI.

Individuals who are required to demonstrate minimum competency in medication provisions for registration as a Medication Aide can complete the competency assessment at Providence Health Career Institute.

The Nurse Aide Competency Testing is State approved and involves a written and a clinical skills examination for eligible inactive nurse aides who wish to become active on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry. Eligibility to test will be based on information from the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry. Testing times must be arranged with the examiner through the office at (402)-326-2792.

Medication Aide Training and Competency Assessment

This training is for Individuals who are required to be on the Medication Aide Registry but are not required to complete a 40 hour class.  The session provides training and a competency assessment covering the basic competencies for Medication Aide.  The Medication Aide Training and Competency Assessment is an arranged session and study materials are provided.  Please call (402)-326-2792 or email providencehealthcareer@gmail.com to arrange the training.    

The one hour abuse inservice is an arranged session. TIme Limit to complete the inservice: 60 days from date of enrollment.

The one hour abuse inservice is an online session. Time limit to complete the Inservice: 60 days from the date of enrollment.
